Civilization 6 Mods
The system can be a slight misnomer – besides some tweaks to system features, this mod by WaterZer0 makes many good sense changes for the way that devices act that go beyond a straightforward rebalance. One of the modifications that we emphatically agree are:
- All unit upgrade fees decreased by about 33%.
- Anti- units get their anti-car bonus doubled to 20. In WaterZer0’s words: “most anti-cavalry units could stalemate against cavalry of their era. I don’t even have terms for little feeling this makes.” WaterZer0 but fair, harsh. Tough, but good.
- Scouts and no longer exert it, and Rangers ignore zone of control.
- Military Engineers’ create prices doubled to 4.
- War Carts currently require the Wheel and change the War Chariot. Obviously, undermines Sumeria’s biggest energy, but is a pleasant change for anyone whois started alongside an AI Gilgamesh on greater difficulties. Hopefully, humans, it’s still able to beeline Conflict Carts and obtain some use out of them.
- There are lots more practical adjustments, so check out the device of WaterZer0 rebalance if you like that which you’ve heard so far.
Moar Units (updated)
The task of Civ modding veteran Deliverator, this mod adds 28 new exclusive devices (UUs) to the game’s existing cats. Lots of Deliverator’s options bring back UUs from Civ 5, but some are from traditional knowledge and their own imagination. Highlights include:
- American Minutemen
- Arabic Camel Archers
- Chinese Chu-ko-nu
- English Longbowmen
- Greek Hetairoi (also called Alexander’s Companion Cavalry)
- Norwegian Hirdmen
- Roman Equites
- Russian Druzhina Cavalry
- Sumerian Phalanxes
Since not all civs can have equal variety of uniques Deliverator acknowledges the danger of imbalance, but otherwise this is a fun method to include more range for the armies you as well as the AI will get to play with. You can visit the mod’s site here.

Civ 6 Diplomacy mods
Diplomacy total / AI that is fewer fits
Kavis’s Diplomacy Total
Kavis’s diplomacy total spells out the actual values governing your relationship score with the AI. Obviously it’s not for all those of you who feel information asymmetry can be an essential part of the game, but even with full diplomatic entry, the AIis temperamental vicissitudes can be bewildering. No more.
Consider instead Quo’s fewer AI fits if you’d want to possess a more reliable expertise using the AI without studying their head. It needs the Aztec DLC, but can calm the AI by dialing down the numbers on the times and the random ‘first impression’ move when you first meet them.
Here is Kavis’s diplomacy total and the fewer AI of Quo fits.
